Intelligent Robotics: Current Developments and Future Trends

The 6th Annual IEEE UK and Ireland RAS Chapter Conference, led by Prof Hongmei He (HH), University of Salford

RAS 2023 was hosted by the University of Salford on the 28th February 2023. We invited academics and professionals from the robotics and automation industry (RAS) to come together to share our research and innovations in RAS, and explore future trends in RAS, and foster collaboration between academia and industry.

We invited two keynote speakers: Professor Darwin Caldwell, Research Director at the Italian Institute of Technology, and Professor Carsten Maple from the University of Warwick.

RAS2023 held four sessions:

  1. RAS for extreme environments and hazards

  2. RAS for social and health care

  3. RAS for advanced manufacturing

  4. Resilient robots and autonomous systems

We also hosted a poster competition.

We invited research students to participate in the conference and as part of the competition, certificates will be issued for three awards for the winner, runner-up, and third place posters, and all poster participants will receive a certificate for their participation.
