Games And Gambling workshop

Game on: Games and Gambling Social Action workshop

Monday 31st January 2022, 12.30-5pm, The University of Salford, MediaCity UK, Salford Quays

'Game on' is a Salford based project aiming to tackle gambling harms by harnessing gamification. This innovative approach uses behavioural research, gamification and disruptive interventions that increases awareness the impacts of gambling for communities in Salford.

Gambling advertising is everywhere and can affect us all directly or indirectly, so what can we do? We can be more aware of these risks and how they affect us, our families and friends! We can input by having our say to help shape interactive games, technologies and support strategies to benefit our wider Salford community!

The workshop also provides an opportunity to gain more information about the support and help available and to meet researchers and make connections across the Salford community. Small grants to support and further ideas developed at the workshop are available and more information will be provided during the event. Lunch is provided, for more information and to register, please go to:  https://salford.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/game-on-expressions-of-interest
