GameLab @ Cheltenham Science Festival

On 7th June, the University staged GameLab at Cheltenham Science Festival. Building of the success of GameLab at Media City, the event brought together experiences in retro-gaming, virtual reality science, art, and sport. The Scicomm space presence included Dr Chloe James, Dr Sarah Withers, and Prof Andy Miah, along with MSc Student Damon Reid, artist Paul Miller and game designer from Salford, Dr Juan Hiriart.

The event showcased the Microbihome and the process of Read Your DNA Live, the free event took place as part of a late-night event in England’s premiere science festival, directed by Scicomm Space alumni, Dr Marieke Navin.
