phage ANIMATIONS
We teamed up with Salford students from the BA (Hons) Animation and BA (Hons) Digital Media and Extended Reality (XR) courses to develop a series of page-inspired animations. With scientific input from Students from The School of Science Engineering and Environment, each group took a different aspect of phage biology to inform their piece.
This is Ty D’Arcy with the models they created for their stop motion animation about a mis-understood phage at a bacterial Christmas party. The story demonstrates how phages can help bacteria to adapt to their environment.
The art work made by our students in response to the research helped create a deep, rich and engaging exhibition of diverse perspectives. Thanks to all the students involved:
