BLASTFEST at Moss Side Carnival

We’re headed for the second year running to day one of BLASTFEST, with a suite of activities run by Scicomm Space students Michaela Parnell and Damon Reid and storyteller, Emmanuel Bajiiji.

Alexandra Park, 180 Russell Street, M16 7JL

Michaela will be promoting awareness of her and her communities work on HS and sharing what she has learned making 360 videos. And Damon will be sharing his work on the Microbihome, using Virtual Reality. His blog shares his new VR ethics tookkit.

A host of other contributors are coming along and we can’t wait to meet them.

The event is organised by Wellcome Trust Engagement fellow, Anita Shervington who is an expert in engaging and offering opportunities in science communication and STEM to Afro-Carribbean communities.
